Far-West Nepal
Born in Darchula.
Far-West Nepal is where our story begins — and where our achar is still made.

Our home
Darchula sits in the far west of Nepal, along the Mahakali river. It is where our family lives and where the recipes behind AAMAYAA were worked out — not as a brand exercise, but as everyday cooking.
Our beginning
The first jars were made in a home kitchen for people we know. Production still starts here, close to the person whose recipes we are following.
The people behind AAMAYAA
A small family operation: our Aama's recipes and knowledge, and the rest of us handling everything from packing to delivery in Kathmandu.
Ingredients and food culture
Far-Western cooking leans on chilli, mustard oil, timur and whatever the season provides. Achar is not a garnish here — it is what makes a plain plate worth sitting down for.
Darchula to Kathmandu
Jars travel the length of the country to reach the valley, where we handle orders, marketing and distribution.
